Delete your account

Delete in the app (fastest)

Simply Kind is made by Michelle Hardi (sole trader, Melbourne, Australia). To delete your Simply Kind account and all data associated with it:

• Open Simply Kind and sign in.
• Go to the Settings tab.
• Tap “Delete account” and confirm.

Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. If you'd like a copy of your entries first, use Settings → “Export my data” before deleting.

Or ask us by email

If you can't access the app anymore, email hello@michellehardi.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll confirm and complete the deletion within 7 days.

What gets deleted

Everything we hold about you, permanently:

• Your account and profile: email address, name, timezone, and reminder preferences.
• Every entry you've written: intentions, reflections, gratitude notes, mood ratings, and monthly reflections.
• Saved quote favourites and generated insight summaries.

There is no retention period on our side — deletion is immediate, and applies whether you're on the free plan or Simply Kind Plus.

What we can't delete for you

• Subscriptions: deleting your account does not cancel a Simply Kind Plus subscription. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, ideally before deleting your account.
• Payment records: Apple and Google keep their own purchase records under their policies. We never see your card details.
